When we heard Zendaya would be the one to induct Cher into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, all we could think about was her look. Given that Zendaya and her team never miss, we knew whatever she chose would be absolutely pitch perfect. Which era of Cher would she pay homage to: the ’80s bombshell with big hair and Bob Mackie gowns? The futuristic vibes of the “Believe” video? There was really only one true answer: lots and lots of pitch-black, butt-length hair.
Cher has gone through tons of transformations throughout her 50-plus year career, but she’s still best known for that ultra-long, ultra-sleek black hair, and that’s exactly the direction Zendaya went in for the Cleveland, Ohio event. Hairstylist Coree Moreno gave the star the ultimate Cher hair with center-parted, pin-straight and shiny black hair that flowed all the way down past her hips to just brush her butt, similar to the way Cher wore her hair in the early days of her career and on The Sonny & Cher Show. And when we say it was pin-straight, we mean it; there was absolutely no curl or bend present in this super-sleek style, just pure Cher energy.
As if Zendaya’s hair wasn’t shiny enough, makeup artist Raoul Alejandre turned up the shimmer to level 1000 with dewy, glowy skin, warm apricot eye shadow, and shimmery champagne shadow in Zendaya’s inner corners for extra sparkle. A touch of clear lip gloss finished off the look.
