11th Art and Olfaction Awards 2025
Ten years ago, the first Art and Olfaction Awards took place in Los Angeles. As a media partner from the very beginning ÇaFleureBon is excited to share the information with our global community. Whether you are an established independent, experimental, artisan perfumer or just beginning, the judging is blind, done in two parts, so there is no brand bias. Last year’s awards were announced in Lisbon; in 2025 the event returns to Los Angeles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Art and Olfaction Awards accepts submissions from independent and artisan perfumers, and experimental practitioners with scent from all countries. HOW TO SUBMIT here.
They are accepting submissions for perfumes or experimental projects that were (or will be) released to the public between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Online submissions are open until December 6, 2024
The 11th Art and Olfaction Awards 2025 Independent Category: The Independent category is open to brands that employed an external perfumer or fragrance house to initiate and create the formula for the submitted perfume, which was then released under the brand’s name in 2024.
The Artisan Category: The artisan category is open to brands that are owned or co-owned (minimum 35% ownership) by the brand’s primary perfumer, who initiated and created the submitted perfume’s formula in-house and released it in 2024.
The Experimental Category: The experimental category is for creative or experimental practitioners who make use of scent in an unconventional or experimental manner that takes it out of the domain of traditional perfumery. Projects must have been first made public in 2024.
The Newcomer Award celebrates newcomers to the industry. Awarded to a perfume from a brand who launched their first fine fragrance product to market in 2024.
The Contribution to Scent Culture Award: Given to an outstanding person who has made significant contributions to global public awareness and appreciation of practices with scent and perfumery. (discretionary)
The Visionary Award is given on an annual basis to an outstanding person showing proof of exceptional vision with regards to how scent is used, developed, or imagined. (discretionary).
The 11th Art and Olfaction Awards 2025 IMPORTANT DATES
Dec. 6, 2024 -Submissions close: Online submissions are due before midnight (PDT). 11:59 pm PT
Dec. 20, 2024 All samples due: Samples must be received by midnight (PDT) for submissions to be complete- 11:59 pm PT
April, 2025 Finalist announcement: Late May, 2025: The 11th Art and Olfaction Awards in Los Angeles.
