French niche line Majda Bekkali has launched Tulaytulah Obscur, a unisex flanker to 2016’s Tulaytulah.
Tulaytulah is the name of Toledo in Arabic and Hebrew. Known as the City of Three Cultures, it was part of the Al Andalus region from the 8th to the 15th century.
[…] The sound of the Angelus is answered by the chant of the Adhan, and at this signal, the sky over Toledo is a blaze with the last light of the day. The waters of the Tagus still quiver at this precise hour, like a lover’s skin against the tenderness of her beloved. On the shore, a blue-gloved hand dips a Corne-de-gazelle in a wild cherry liqueur. And to contemplate its grace, time stops for a Moment.
Cherry blossom, cumin and cinnamon take flight. Blackcurrant, almonds, heliotrope, labdanum absolute and davana essence settle in at the heart. Then follows a trail of leather, vanilla, benzoin resinoid and precious wood essences.
Tulaytulah Obscur was developed by perfumer Camille Chemardin.
Majda Bekkali Tulaytulah Obscur is available now for pre-order at First in Fragrance in Germany, in 10 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.
