Rabbit rabbit rabbit! Welcome to November (and Movember, Native American Heritage Month, National Pomegranate Month and NaNoWriMo). Birthdays today: Stephen Crane, Sippie Wallace, Yuko Shimizu, Lyle Lovett. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance that will bring you peace, happiness or good luck for the month.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
Peace, happiness and good luck on a November 1 where we’re expecting a high of 78F: Hermès Le Jardin de Monsieur Li.
Reminder: on 11/8, there will be a community project, and I’ll have it online by Monday. Update…on 11/8, for the 10th anniversary of our Friday projects, we’re repeating the first one we did, way back in 2014… think of your favorite fragrance note (or one of them, if you can’t narrow down), wear your favorite fragrance that features that note, and tell us about it. (Hat tip to happy888cat who noticed the anniversary! We are quite a few months late, but that’s how things go around here.)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2024, where I’ll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the 3D POCHI Miffy Silicone Pouch (“The pouch opens like a traditional Japanese coin purse, known as “gamaguchi” and can be open by pulling the ears apart. The item has a flat bottom allowing it to sit on its own, which allows the pouch to be used as a pen holder for your desk or a toothbrush holder. The small size of the pouch will fit into most bags and can be used to carry small items in one place”) is $18.95 at Kinokuniya USA. If you want the Miffy pouch without the “body”, or a pen case, check out the Miffy selection at Jet Pens.
