Happy Halloween! šā ļøš»šš§āāļøš§š»āāļøš§āāļøš Well, Iām happy to say that I did get five Halloween manicures done this month. For my final Halloween manicure I wanted jack-oā-lanterns on my nails because this past week I went to the great jack-oā-lantern blaze in Sleepy Hollow. I love attending this event, but it is costly and so I donāt go every year. I suddenly realized I hadnāt been for five years so it was time to go again! It was absolutely amazing.

For this look I went with classic jack-oā-lanterns for Halloween. When I was young, my mother had these vinyl window clings (not the gel ones like now) and they were orange pumpkins, and we had different faces that we could put on the pumpkins. We would decorate all the windows. There were different mouths, eyes, and noses and so we got super creative. So those inspired this fun look.
Believe it, or not, this was another simple Halloween look with only four colors:
- Orange: Jessica Cosmetics Bahama Mama, 2 coats
- Holo topcoat: KBShimmer A Star is Formed, 1 very thin coat. I did not want a heavy sparkle.
- Peachy orange: Jessica Cosmetics Apricot Ice
- Black: Stella Chroma New Moon

I did the orange base first because I had tested it out and saw the
light orange was opaque enough that it went right over it. I only added
the holl topcoat on top of the dark orange base because I wanted that glow
from within look. Then I added two stripes with the lighter orange and
drew my faces. Stella Chroma has an amazing black. Itās not as stark as
other brands meaning that it wonāt be a one coat polish if you use it on
its own. I love it because it doesnāt smear when I use topcoat. That is
always my concern. I never want to ruin my art and since this is such a basic art,
I was so happy that the did not smoosh all over my nail.
I hope you have a lovely Halloween if you celebrate. Iāve
been dressing up in Halloween clothes and I bought two Halloween purses
this year so I have been festive at work. My college students love it. I
think itās like they never want to grow up, neither do I when it comes to Halloween lol.
