Oh hi friends. Long time, no talk. I know I disappeared and I am way, way, way behind in sharing the fall collection from KBShimmer. But hey, it is still autumn and maybe you have not ordered this collection yet? And since none are only Halloween-esque, these really are for all year. So grab a snack and take a look at way too many photos!
Once school starts, the seasons seem to race by. Cool autumn nights and frosty mornings signal the end of warm days. Store aisles fill with costumes and candy, leading to the annual dilemma of choosing what Halloween character you’ll be. The aromas of cinnamon, clove, and pumpkin enhance the fall spirit, whether from a flickering candle, a spiced drink, or a slice of warm bread. Movie nights take a spookier turn with horror flicks, classic monsters, and ghostly tales. Available now!

 Mull It Over
Mull It Over nail polish features a merlot-colored base amped up with a glowing red shimmer, paying homage to the seasonal mulled wine. The shimmer reveals burgundy and copper tones from different angles, creating a vampy red perfect for cooler days. Best applied in two coats with a quick-dry topcoat.
Mull It Over: 2 coats plus top coat. This is the autumn version of That’s My Jam. It is almost opaque in one coat, but I did two for good measure. It is sultry and beautiful. This was the first polish I put on and I really did not want to take it off.
Charmed Life
Charmed Life nail polish captures this magic with its magnetic effect. A vibrant fuchsia shifts to rose pink, while angles bring out touches of gold and lime. When magnetized, micro flakes transition from rosy pink to peach and gold, accentuating the charcoal black base. Two coats provide coverage for most, or layer over black to enhance the dark base and multichrome shift.
Charmed Life: 2 coats plus topcoat. Magnetized after each coat. I love this one. It was a surprise for me because of how bright the pink was that I did not feel like it was very fall. With every way you move, your hand you will see new colors. I think this should be cool without the magnet as well, which is something I always look for in magnetic polishes, but I didn’t have time to do a separate swatch.
Â
For The Pun Of It is a vibrant multichrome nail polish that changes hues with viewing angle and lighting. A vibrant red shifts to rosy pink, golden yellow, burnished orange copper, and bold green. With its slightly shimmery finish, this chameleon shade sparkles in the light. Two coats offer full coverage.
For The Pun Of It: 2 coats. I knew I would love this one because it is literally every color in a bottle. It has all the fall colors and does not require much manipulation of your hand to see them all. I love a surprise multi, but this one is no surprise. It is in your face about how shifty and awesome it is, whatever lighting you go into. And it has a great formula to boot.

It’s Fall Good nail polish is a nod to these changing leaves. A mix of metallic and micro flakes shift from pinky reds to coppery oranges, bold reds, and golden yellows, set in a burgundy jelly base. This flakeheavy polish is thicker than other formulas, with two thin coats providing full coverage.
It’s Fall Good: 2 coats. What a fun polish to name this collection after. Because it is so flake-heavy, you want to make sure that you let the polish dry a little between coats, but I found it to not be finicky as much as I thought it would be. This one is totally unique in my stash and it’s just really beautiful. The base is like a burgundy brown so it sort of reminds me of a tree trunk against gorgeous fall foliage. This one is such a winner.

Dead
Ringer is an illuminating, shimmery shade with strong multichrome
flips. A jelly brown base highlights vibrant cyan blue and earthy green
tones, with aqua, sapphire blue, indigo, and near purple emerging with
different angles and lighting. This shimmery shade sparkles and offers
two-to- three-coat coverage, depending on nail length.Â
Dead Ringer:
3 coats. You might be able to get away with two coats, but I felt that I
needed three as there was some sheerness by the tip of my nail. I like
this one as it’s not your typical blue to purple multi chrome because it
does have these brown undertones. The brown does not show up too much
but it is definitely there to make this unique. While this doesn’t scream fall
for me, I dig it. This has the same shimmer, as For the Pun of It, just
simply a different color way.

Â
Come Sip With Us is a teal-leaning slate blue nail polish with color-shifting shimmer and micro holo sparkle. The rosy pink shimmer shifts to copper and peach, and at some angles, gold and green. Indirect lighting reveals lavender and fuchsia tones. This complex polish is best worn in two-to-three coats.
Come Sip With Us: 2 coats. This is a moody blue so I like it for a night sky or at dusk manicure. This could have probably used a third coat, but I did two for these photos. The shimmer is shifty and sparkly.

Â
Flash Forward
Flash Forward is a suspenseful shade packed with intense shimmer and flash-reactive glitter. The blackened blue base sets the stage for a bold sapphire shimmer to stand out. Finely milled silver reflective pigment twinkles under indoor lighting, while bright lights like camera flashes or sunlight make the silver pop! Apply two coats for a fun textured look or add a layer of Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish.
Flash Forward: 2 coats plus a coat of smooth moves. It has been a while since we have had a reflective polish. This is definitely a bright and fun shade and again could represent night time for nail art. Just imagine a full moon and a witch stamped over it with this. Just beautiful.Â
Â
Spectral Feeling nail polish is an illuminating shade with a strong blue-violet magnetic shift. The blue base morphs into bold purple and violet hues with a hint of pink at some angles. Glowy fuchsia flakes add to the black background, shifting in shades of pink, orange, and purple. Two coats provide coverage, or layer over black to enhance the base and multichrome shift.
Spectral Feeling: 2 coats plus topcoat and magnetized after each coat. This is a brilliant purple color, but it doesn’t have a super strong magnetic feel to it. That’s OK because I actually think I prefer this one without the magnet. But it’s subtle and it’s there so if you are a magnetic fan, you can certainly use your magnet. I could tell based on the bottle as well that it wasn’t going to be as strong as the other magnetic color in this collection. I did see that you can layer this over black which would probably make this much more vibrant.
Â
Tricked Out is an ultra-shifty multichrome nail polish that transitions through a range of colors. Starting as a deep purple, almost navy, this tricky shade shifts to pink and fuchsia, then to orange and green with changes in viewing angle. Bright light enhances grape and fuchsia tones, while the full color range is best seen in indirect light. Best in two-to-three coats.Â
Â
Tricked Out: 2 coats. This is another multichrome and at this point I’m feeling a little jaded lol. This one has much more purple than the other ones so I guess the difference depends on what you really want your base color to be. This one is super shifty and sparkles in the sun.
Â
Gummy A Break is a nod to the candy aisle’s colorful array. A rich purple base is accentuated by vibrant color-shifting metallic flakes in pink, fuchsia, orange, and gold, with fine silver reflective glitter adding sparkle. This reflective flake polish is thicker than other formulas and is best applied in two thin coats. Wear alone for a fun textured look or with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish.Â
Â
Gummy A Break: 2 coats plus smooth moves. I like that this reflective polish has flakes in it that shift because it makes it special. I also like the way this looks without the flash on so I always love that. This is definitely a collection for purple lovers but here is another purple.Â
Â
Â
Night Shift nail polish mirrors the midnight sky. A deep black base shifts to a warm purple hue with subtle pops of green, silver charcoal, or cool-toned purple from different angles. Micro holographic glitter adds a magical touch. Two coats offer coverage for most, while longer nails may prefer three. For the best effect, finish with Clearly On Top.Â
Â
Night Shift: 2 coats. This is another night sky type polish so I like that there are different options for whatever type of night sky you’re looking for. I really love how this is almost black, but not quite because I actually don’t wear black nails like this often. This one provides a nice balance between black and purple so I do like it.
Â
Got It Covered is a soft gray crelly nail polish featuring a mix of black metallic and multichrome flakes. The flakes shift from green and blue to aquamarine, fuchsia, magenta, and orange. This flake-filled shade provides good coverage in two coats, though three coats may be preferred for maximum flake density.
Got It Covered: 3 coats plus smooth moves. This was a welcome change from purple and blue since I feel like that really is the entire collection. This is something different and I like the payoff. But give yourself a couple minutes between swatches coats so that you don’t drag your polish.
Overall, I liked this collection a lot more once I swatched it, but I do feel like it’s a little purple and blue heavy. I just wish there were some more oranges and greens and a little bit of variety of color rather than various shades and finishes of purple. You do you. I really miss the deep oranges and yellows that she used to do but I do understand that they’re not big sellers.
