Yayyyy for neon season. Although KBShimmer recently shared her new summer collection, I am still all about the Mix It Up Neon collection that came out in May. I finally created art with all of the collection, and so I wanted to share that with you, because this collection is obviously still available!
I thought about so many ways to use all the neons, because neon art is so fun and versatile. But then I decided to simply go with lines! That’s right. All this manicure is, is different lengths and widths of lines! Not much rhyme or reason.
Here are the colors I used:
- Base: Stella Chroma So Base-ic
- Base: KBShimmer Fillin’ Groovy
- Sheer: OPI Don’t Touch My Tutu
- Neons: The entire KBShimmer Mix It Up collection
- Glitter: KBShimmer Scratch That
I added the OPI just so there was a hint of white on my nails. I recently found and old and unused bottle of Yellow Stopper, and so I may use that next time I want a sheer base.
I dabbed the black glitter on random parts of the nail. You could definitely just do one coat over your entire nail but I preferred blobs. Because of that, you might see a few bubbles because of the base in the glitter. I tried to get all the shapes and it really came out fun.
These pictures are indoor lighting and I love how bright it is. One thing to note is to use the darker colors first so the brighter colors pop and do not get covered by the darker colors. I used the bright orange and yellow last.
