MAKEUP | Dior Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick | Cosmetic Proof

Purchased by me

It has been such a long time since I have done a foundation review! Foundation is like skincare to me, but I have been really trying to finish what I have as I have so many older foundations that aren’t even in existence anymore hence the lack of trying anything new. As this is the year of Dior for me, I was paying VERY close attention when they announced a new multi-use stick foundation! I loved how easy it was to use my Basma Beauty Foundation Stick so I was hoping this new foundation from Dior would be one I enjoyed just as much.

Coming in 18 shades, this foundation provides a natural, blurred finish that provides 24h wear and hydration. It has buildable coverage, erases imperfections and evens out the complexion in, I kid you not, 10 seconds! It has a barely-there feel and is so lightweight in texture that you will forget you are even wearing it!

What I love about stick foundations is one, how compact they are and two how uncomplicated the application is which is why I have been opting for this Dior foundation over my bottled versions. The texture is creamy and has the coverage of a foundation, but blends effortlessly into the skin like butter! While I am usually I sponge user, I find this formula works better and faster with a dense foundation brush.

The formula isn’t cakey and provides a brightened, smoother complexion. while this formula is very buildable, I tend to like a more natural look so I swipe the foundation directly on my face (forehead, nose, cheeks and chin) and then buff it out with a brush. In the snap of a finger, my face is ready to go! This foundation has a satin-like finish, but I generally do set it with powder for extra hold if I am working. I have used it without powder and it seemed fine as well.

And most importantly for me, this foundation lasts all day! There is always some mild breakdown around my nose which I have never really been able to fight with any foundation, but I am always pleased to see how well this foundation has held up 10-12 hours later!

In terms of comparing this foundation to the Basma Beauty one I loved so much, this foundation stick has the appearance of what we all like about using foundation – coverage. The Basma Beauty stick has a slightly more natural finish while the Dior one has a more “professional” feel that would compliment a heavier makeup look. Both are good foundations, but for different reasons and I will happily keep using both.

Final verdict: Love love love! I love the ease of use, how fast it makes my skin look blurred and soft and the cushion-like texture. It melts into the skin so easily that I am now even considering the contour stick and Jayne doesn’t contour!

You can find the Dior Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick at all Dior counters.
