Purchased by me
Recently, I was doing a little bit of shopping while waiting for a prescription at London Drugs and came across this collection of vegan When Beauty sheet masks. When Beauty makes a number of different sheet masks and this collection in particular is all Vegan Certified by the Korea Agency of Vegan Certification and Services Inc. I picked up all five masks in this collection and because the masks differed only very slightly from each other, I will just do some quick little summaries of the masks for you!

Other notes: N/A
Vitalizing & Moisturizing
What makes this mask special? This mask is formulated with something called Botagen Opuntia, which is a DNA sugar derived from the Prickly Pear Cactus that has high antioxidant activity making the cactus resilient to extreme environmental conditions. Botagen Opuntia is also said to help with protecting skin from inflammation and prevent photoaging by forming a protective layer on top of the skin as a natural polymer (sugar layer). I cannot find any journals supporting this so I am not sure of how effective Botagen Opuntia is, but I have nothing to lose by using this mask and hoping that it is true!
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Propanediol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Carbomer, Ammonium, Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tromethamine, Adenosine, Opuntia Ficus-Indica Stem Extract, Allantoin, Parfum (Fragrance)
Mask Summary:
Price: $6 CDN
What it does: Hydration and revitalize problematic skin
Scent: Slightly floral
Essence Type: Clear and watery
Duration: 20 minutes
Thickness: Medium
Mask Fit: A little bit big on the sides of my face, but it didn’t annoy me too much
Tackiness: Light
Hydration: High
Other notes: My skin was GLOWING after this mask!
Final verdict: As a first experience with When Beauty, I would say that overall I enjoyed myself! Ingredients were decent, packaging fun and results quite positive. I do find the masks a tad on the pricey side considering the mask fit wasn’t quite as nice as some other less expensive sheet masks I have tried, but I would pick these up again if they were on sale.
