The winners of the Nailpro Master Challenge were announced live at the show on Sept. 8-9, 2024.
All the competitors brought amazing creativity and skill, and the judges and attendees were all wowed with the techniques that they saw live.
The Nailpro Master Challenge 2024 was sponsored by Bluesky and Boosky. CND, OPI and Tino Vo were product partners for the challenge. Cosmoglo was the light partner for the challenge, and Luminary Nail Systems served as the lamp partner for the challenge.
Chrome
Chrome has continued to be a major trend in the nail industry. This competition invited competitors to showcase their techniques and favorite designs within the category. Competitors had 40 minutes to do a design using chrome on five tips.
Liliana Martinez, a nail tech out of Dallas, Texas, took home first place. (See Figure 1)
Nethan Ngyuen, a nail tech out of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, took second place.
Scarlett Wooldrik, a nail tech out of Omaha, Nebraska, took third place.
Sculpted
Clients come looking for various shapes and sizes when getting their nails done. Using nail enhancements, this competition gave free range to create a shape that represented their abilities and preferences. Competitors had 45 minutes to sculpt five nails on a live model with acrylic.
Alexandra Molnar, a nail tech out of Walnut Creek, California, took home first place.
Sandra Mata Hernandez, a nail tech out of Paradise, California, took second.
3D Nails
3D nails have become a staple this year, and we wanted to give our competitors a platform to think outside the box. They were given 40 minutes to complete a 3D design of their choosing on a set of five tips.

Black Tie Affair
Glamor and elegance describe these formal affair nails for the Black Tie Affair competition. Competitors had 40 minutes to complete a manicure using only black, white and metallics and neutrals on one hand of a live model.
